Laat u horen tegen Babel, gij schutters! gij allen, die den boog spant! legert u tegen haar rondom, laat niemand van hen ontkomen; vergeldt haar naar haar werk, doet haar naar alles, wat zij gedaan heeft; want zij heeft trotselijk gehandeld tegen den HEERE, tegen den Heilige Israëls.

Laat u horen tegen Babel, schutters, allen die de boog spannen. Beleger het aan alle kanten, laat niemand ervan ontkomen. Vergeld het naar zijn werk, doe het overeenkomstig alles wat het zelf gedaan heeft. Want het heeft overmoedig gehandeld tegen de HEERE, tegen de Heilige van Israël.
