Toen naderde Nebukadnézar tot de deur van den oven des brandenden vuurs, antwoordde en sprak: Gij Sadrach, Mesach en Abéd-Nego, gij knechten des allerhoogsten Gods! gaat uit en komt hier! Toen gingen Sadrach, Mesach en Abéd-Nego uit het midden des vuurs.

Toen kwam Nebukadnezar in de nabijheid van de deur van de brandende vuuroven. Hij nam het woord en zei: Sadrach, Mesach en Abed-Nego, dienaren van de allerhoogste God, ga naar buiten en kom hier! Daarop gingen Sadrach, Mesach en Abed-Nego uit het midden van het vuur.
